We’re large enough to compete head-to-head with publicly traded engineering giants, but still small enough to maintain the culture and flexibility of a close-knit team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our size and hands-on management style let us move quickly, embrace new opportunities, and empower our people to shape their own careers—without getting lost in corporate bureaucracy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You’re an ideal candidate if you have:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment</li>\n<li>Ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner</li>\n<li>Adaptability to represent GEMTEC professionally with clients, developers, or contractors</li>\n<li>Ownership mentality that treats each project as if it's building your own home</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">A typical day on the job might look like:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting multidisciplinary infrastructure and greenfield development projects through application of project management, problem solving skills and knowledge of Ontario Regulations (O.Reg 153/04, O.Reg 406/19, etc.).</li>\n<li>Contributing to proposals supporting GEMTEC pursuits.</li>\n<li>Assisting in the completion of Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments, including preparation of Records of Site Condition.</li>\n<li>Assisting the team and participating in the preparation of excess soil management plans.</li>\n<li>Completing field investigations pertaining to brownfield redevelopments, including development and implementation of sampling and analysis plans.</li>\n<li>Completing, tabulation and interpretation of field and laboratory samples, preparation of borehole logs and report figures, data management and report preparation.</li>\n<li>Preparing reports as necessary to meet client needs</li>\n<li>Adhering to all company policies.</li>\n<li>Performing other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The good stuff you get:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full time salaried position.</li>\n<li>Fair pay plus extra: competitive salary with year-end profit-sharing bonus</li>\n<li>Complete health &amp; dental coverage including vision, paramedical services, and Teladoc</li>\n<li>Retirement planning made easier with a 5% employer match on your contributions</li>\n<li>Paid time off (vacation and sick days) plus Employee &amp; Family Assistance Program when you need it</li>\n<li>Office year-end closure (paid time off between Christmas and the New Year)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your background and what you bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or geoscience from an accredited institution.</li>\n<li>Eligible for Professional (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo.). in an environmental consulting environment.</li>\n<li>Eligible for Qualified Person (QP) designation is an asset</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary Range:</span> $54,000 – $62,000 CAD Annually</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In alignment with Ontario’s Employment Standards Act and pay‑transparency requirements, GEMTEC includes the expected compensation range in publicly advertised job postings for roles based in Ontario. This range reflects what GEMTEC reasonably anticipates paying for this position.
