    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work location: </span>Hybrid – Vancouver</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job type: </span>Permanent</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required education: </span>Bachelor's or technical degree</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required specialty: </span>Electrical engineering, telecommunications</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience: </span>3–6 years</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES</span></span></p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager or of the Customer's Project Manager, you will be responsible for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design of MW point-to-point links using Pathloss 5.1/6;</li>\n<li>Creating MW installation instructions based on industry best practices;</li>\n<li>On site validation and supervision of MW installations;</li>\n<li>Troubleshooting issues on MW links and networks;;</li>\n<li>MW Waveguide transmission line sweeps measurements</li>\n<li>Executing test cases in customer MW lab;</li>\n<li>MW Test results analysis and troubleshooting;</li>\n<li>Communicating with client, partners, and equipment vendor;</li>\n<li>Requirements definition and network analysis.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Secondary responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simulations using modeling tools such as: InfoVista Planet, IBWave, Ekahau including defining propagation models, 4G/5G frame structure and simulation parameters;</li>\n<li>Design of passive and active DAS systems, small cell, micro cell, pico cell;</li>\n<li>Link budgets, coverage and capacity planning of LTE, 5G-NR, and Wi-Fi networks;</li>\n<li>Design of cellular networks using LTE, LTE+, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi technologies;</li>\n<li>Design of private cellular networks for Industry 4.0 and critical infrastructure operators such as Manufacturers and processors of critical materials, mines, commercial and passenger rail, and electric utilities;</li>\n<li>Creating BOM and CAPEX and OPEX estimates for cellular and Wi-Fi networks;</li>\n<li>Drafting of functional and technical specifications and requirements;</li>\n<li>Drafting of specifications and performance estimates;</li>\n<li>Selection and design of RF transmission sites ;</li>\n<li>Development of interconnection specifications;</li>\n<li>Follow-up of network expertise and optimization ;</li>\n<li>Quality of service audit for DAS and small cell installations;</li>\n<li>Cellular coverage and performance measurements - walk-test &amp; drive-test.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical technologist or engineering degree from an accredited institution;</li>\n<li>Member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC considered an asset;</li>\n<li>3 to 6 years of relevant experience in the RF domain;</li>\n<li>Knowledge of legacy and modern MW equipment including but not limited to the following configurations: </li>\n<li>TDM equipment</li>\n<li>Long-haul, high-powered equipment</li>\n<li>All indoor installations</li>\n<li>Frequency Diversity, Quad Diversity</li>\n<li>Space diversity, split Tx</li>\n<li>ACM</li>\n<li>Knowledge of common MW lab and field installation and troubleshooting equipment:</li>\n<li>Spectrum Analyzer</li>\n<li>RF Generator</li>\n<li>Vector Network Analyser (VNA)</li>\n<li>RF Power Meter</li>\n<li>BER test set</li>\n<li>Experience in MW design;</li>\n<li>Knowledge of MW deployment issues and troubleshooting;</li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience in the BC market (operators and infrastructure present);</li>\n<li>Knowledge of MW service deployment issues;</li>\n<li>Good communication skills, written and oral (French spoken an asset);</li>\n<li>Planning, design, coordination and project management;</li>\n<li>Autonomous, responsible, and self-motivated;</li>\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills;</li>\n<li>Anticipate travel within Metro Vancouver and greater BC and Alberta.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">NOWLEDGE CONSIDERED AN ASSET BUT NOT REQUIRED</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>LMR systems</li>\n<li>PTMP LTE</li>\n<li>FTTH fiber</li>\n<li>Cellular network knowledge in technologies LTE, LTE+, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi;</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of modelling tools such as: InfoVista Planet, Ekahau, Pathloss 5.1/6, IBWave (IBWave level 2 certification an asset);</li>\n<li>Participation in telecom projects such as cellular network and DAS design projects;</li>\n<li>Knowledge of interference issues, Safety Code 6, MW interconnection and/or fiber optic;</li>\n</ul>",
