This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties, including general building repair, grounds upkeep, custodial support, and system maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem-solver with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and service.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform general maintenance and repair work across campus buildings, facilities, and equipment, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Complete tasks involving multiple skilled trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and custodial duties.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Install, repair, and maintain building components such as doors, locks, hardware, flooring, ceilings, walls, and windows.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide support for groundskeeping and exterior facility maintenance, including fountains, irrigation systems, and snow removal.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain and repair mechanical systems, boilers, and drainage systems; replace and service fixtures and appliances as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct routine testing and maintenance on fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and other safety-related equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with event setup, furniture moving, and emergency responses (e.g., storm cleanup or flooding mitigation).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate records using the college&rsquo;s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); ensure timely completion of work orders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with the Director of Facilities to manage supplies and equipment necessary for task completion, adhering to proper disposal protocols for used materials.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with other facilities staff, contractors, and campus departments to ensure timely and effective maintenance support.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Uphold safety regulations and contribute to a culture of compliance with institutional safety standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support other Facilities Services departments with general maintenance tasks or event preparation, as needed</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist in securing buildings and ensuring safe, hazard-free conditions</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in training on maintenance techniques, safety procedures, product usage, and college policies</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Suggest improvements to maintenance operations, service efficiency, and workplace safety</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attend and contribute to team meetings; provide feedback and recommendations</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain regular, punctual attendance and a consistent work presence</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The statements contained herein describe the scope of responsibility and essential functions of this position, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
