    "description": "<p>Imagine your future at Conavi!</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Join our team in the design, manufacture, and sale of an innovative intravascular imaging system to improve cardiac care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Conavi Medical’s Novasight Hybrid System enables simultaneous imaging of a patient’s coronary arteries using both intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technologies.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you would like to be a part of a talented team that is making a difference in healthcare, we currently have a new opening for a Financial Analyst to prepare financial and taxation documentation as well as facilitate inventory costing in an accurate and timely manner that is compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), government regulations, and internal policies, procedures, and controls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In this position, you will:  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Perform financial accounting activities including: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Prepare quarter-end financial statements such as working papers, schedules, and journal entry adjustments</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with treasury and cash management including cash flow results, projections, and spending variances</span></li>\n<li><span>Manage the quarter-end review and fiscal year-end audit </span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to the preparation of Canadian and US company tax returns as well as sales tax remittances</span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to the implementation of accounting and financial controls as necessary</span></li>\n<li><span>Review and validate financial models</span></li>\n<li><span>Prepare financial reports related to contribution agreements with public funding sources</span></li>\n<li><span>Analyse and evaluate corporate financial performance as required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Perform cost accounting activities including:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Collaborate with Operations and Sales staff in the development and maintaining of current and accurate costing, planning, and forecasting of inventories</span></li>\n<li><span>Gather and analyse data on changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost and prices</span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to the identification and reporting on opportunities for reducing purchasing and production costs as well as “lean” manufacturing initiatives </span></li>\n<li>Review and analyse inventory cycle count results</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You possess the following qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in accounting and/or business</li>\n<li>Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or working towards is preferred</li>\n<li>Strong financial and cost accounting skills and knowledge with functional experience  </li>\n<li>Public accounting experience would be an asset</li>\n<li>Experience operating under Canadian taxation system ideally including R&amp;D tax credits</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application</li>\n<li>Preferred competencies include communication, collaboration and attention to detail combined with the ability to multi-task while still prioritizing activities in a fast-paced environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Conavi Medical values everyone and their contributions.  We value diversity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.  Please let us know if you require accommodations on any of the grounds protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code during the recruitment process.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Please submit a resume directly to Conavi Medical through the Careers section of our website at <a href=\"http://www.conavi.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.conavi.com</a>.  We thank all candidates for their interest but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p>",
