    "description": "<p>B&amp;B Contracting Group is currently seeking a dedicated <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Concrete Finisher</span> to join our growing company in our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Excavation &amp; Shoring Division</span>.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Job duties include but are not limited to:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Fabricate and erect forms for civil concrete construction.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Set forms for curbs, sidewalks, and flatworks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Place and finish concrete.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform miscellaneous concrete works and skilled labor tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Uphold a safe work environment by</span> adhering to safety policies and work procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and Skills</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Journeyman Certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete finishing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Physical ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Willing to travel to Vancouver Island and other locations within the Lower Mainland.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Valid driver's license and transportation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to read and interpret drawings is an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Experience working with curbing machines is an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and maintain them in proper operating condition.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to work in various weather conditions in outdoor environments.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COMPENSATION</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Job Type: Full-time</p>\n<p>Salary: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour</p>\n<p><em>Hourly pay rate will be adjusted based on skills and experience.</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ABOUT THE COMPANY</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>B&amp;B Contracting Group is a distinguished company with over 75 years of experience in civil construction.
