    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Senior Electrical Designer will provide electrical design services on a variety of commercial building projects. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Act as Lead Designer on assigned projects</li><li>Manage the planning and scheduling of assigned projects of various sizes and complexity</li><li>Ensure quality control and assurance metrics are met throughout project duration</li><li>Work with clients to deliver the end project</li><li>Visit the site once under construction at regular intervals as required by the project</li><li>Provide cost control during the design and construction process</li><li>Maintain project schedule and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization</li><li>Coordinate the work of assigned team members</li><li>Coach and mentor team members</li><li>Technical design on assigned projects</li><li>Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities</li><li>Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines</li><li>Develop and maintain positive client relationships</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>COMPETENCIES</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>Commitment to excellence</li><li>Job ownership</li><li>Proven leadership</li><li>Relationship management</li><li>Critical evaluation</li><li>Customer service</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)</li><li>Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit</li><li>Seven (7) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design</li><li>Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Understanding of the design of lighting, receptacle, and data layouts based on building types</li><li>Knowledge of running photometrics with AG132 or Visual</li><li>Knowledge of related building and electrical codes</li><li>Knowledge of sustainable design practices</li><li>Proficient in the use of Revit</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Professional Engineer designation</li><li>Previous project manager or senior designer experience</li><li>Certifications in Energy Management</li><li>Ten+ (10+) years of experience in the MEP field</li><li>Advanced proficiency in the use of Revit</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work indoors in an office setting. &nbsp;Must be capable of occasionally climbing ladders and of traversing obstacles. &nbsp;Regularly required to type, file, or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds.
