This role involves operating specialized imaging equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as ACR and MQSA guidelines. As a key member of the healthcare team, the technologist collaborates with radiologists and other professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic services, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.</p><p>Essential Duties: &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.</li><li>Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure.</li><li>Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.</li><li>Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the medical records system.</li><li>Assist in the education of patients regarding breast health and the importance of regular screenings.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;Position Requirements &nbsp;</p><ol><li>High School graduate or equivalent &nbsp;</li><li>Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program</li><li>Current Texas Radiology Certification and current BLS Certification.</li><li>Current ARRT certification in Mammography &nbsp;</li></ol><p>&nbsp; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities &nbsp;</p><ol><li>Use of Medical Technologies &nbsp;</li><li>Performing Diagnostic Procedures</li><li>Quality Focus, Planning &nbsp;</li><li>Technical Understanding</li><li>Interpersonal Skills &nbsp;</li><li>Dependability &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to create a safe, effective work environment</li><li>Analyzing Information.</li><li>Effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills</li></ol><p>&nbsp; Work Environment: Regularly exposed to toxic/caustic chemicals, hazardous materials and waste; frequently works near moving mechanical parts, is exposed to wet, humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electric shock or vibration.
