Join us in office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span><strong>Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Carrying out project execution, proposal, and pavement design report / geotechnical investigation report preparation, with oversight and support by a senior pavement / geotechnical engineer</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Developing field work plans/program for the borehole, coring, test pitting investigation</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Conducting pavement condition surveys on flexible, rigid, surface treated and gravel pavements.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Carrying out pavement/geotechnical investigation including borehole and core logging, sampling of asphalt, concrete and subgrade soils, if required</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Conducting pavement data processing and analysis and pavement designs for new construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, widening, and resurfacing using state-of-the-art strategies</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Conducting geotechnical engineering assessments and analyses for a range of project types&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Executing projects to further gain experience in project management, preparing invoices and monitoring budget of projects throughout the duration of the projects</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span><strong>What you will bring to the team:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Bachelor’s degree in Pavement Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Post-graduate degree in relevant field is an asset.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Minimum 3 years of experience in the Pavement/Geotechnical Engineering field, with at least 2 of those years in the consulting industry in Ontario is preferred.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Experience with, and an interest in pavement evaluation, investigation, design, and asset management</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals, present information, and ideas, and respond to questions in a clear and concise manner is required.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Experience with AASHTO 1993 and MEPDG methods for designing flexible and rigid pavements would be considered an asset</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Familiar with pavement related MTO’s OPSS, OPSD, SPs and Municipal standards</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Maintaining meaningful involvement in professional organizations is strongly encouraged.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access)</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Professional Engineer License is an asset.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Valid G Class Ontario Driver’s License</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span><strong>It's a bonus if you have:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Practical knowledge of statistics, numerical modeling and computational methods for data analysis and quality management is required.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Project or technical experience with non-destructive pavement testing including friction testing, Falling Weight Deflectometer and Ground Penetrating Radar.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Experience in providing pavement designs to the MTO and Municipalities considered a strong asset.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>A high level of proficiency with current pavement/geotechnical design software applications.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Project management experience and technical expertise with pavement analysis/engineering/design projects, using Municipal standards, MTO, and AASHTO methods.</span></li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Ability and willingness to be mobile and travel for work as needed.</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>#LI-LL1</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">* The salary range for this position is $74,025 - $123,375<span>&nbsp; </span>The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres.
