RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity, and respect.</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>HOURS: </strong>Monday - Thursday 8:00 am- 1:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p>\n\n<p>In accordance with RNP&#39;s Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies, the Recovery Coach provides peer support services for individuals and their families impacted by Substance Use Disorders and/or Behavioral Health Disorders to effectively address the myriad of issues that arise throughout the recovery process.</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>CORE FUNCTIONS</strong></p>\n\n<p>&middot; Provides recovery support through self-directed, strength-based approach to care. Utilizes principles based on the Recovery Coach Ten Components of Recovery.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Promotes recovery by linking individuals to recovery support activities and assists them in overcoming personal and environmental obstacles to recover.Serves as a professional guide and mentor for persons seeking recovery and their families.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Provides on-call coverage for crisis intervention and stabilization.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Recognizes the elements of client crisis, implements an immediate course of action (in consultation with supervisor) appropriate to the crisis.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Provides information and assertive linkages to services and resources with an emphasis on self-help groups, CCAR, recovery houses, sober events and programs, employment and job services.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Maintains communications with community providers and builds a network of recovery support services to support program participant&rsquo;s attendance in organized, social sober activities.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Adheres to all documentation and reporting requirements.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Prepares agenda for supervision and utilizes supervision as needed to meet professional goals.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Uses personal vehicle to travel throughout the Bridgeport, CT area.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n",
