    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Finish Grader Operator </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Sureway</strong> <strong>Construction</strong> is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Local - Work Sureway!</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full Time, Seasonal</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week</p>\n<p><strong>Perks: </strong>Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s<strong> - </strong>no direct access to public transportation</p>\n<p><strong>Essential: </strong>Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong>    </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Personal Reliable Vehicle</li>\n <li>CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Pre-employment:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)</li>\n <li>Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Finish Grader Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. </li>\n <li>Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. </li>\n <li>Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.</li>\n <li>Drive the grader in successive passes over working area, observing reference stakes or hand signals of other workers, to level the surface to the specified grade. </li>\n <li>Finish grade base surface preparation to within half an inch. </li>\n <li>Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.</li>\n <li>Ensure grader is in proper gear, and is not moving too fast for working conditions. </li>\n <li>Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and draw</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Finish Grader Operator</strong><strong> Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a <strong>Finish Grader</strong> Operator.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.</li>\n <li>Experience with finishing work required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Sureway Construction Group</strong> is an equal opportunity employer.
