    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"left\" id=\"isPasted\" style=\"margin-left: calc(0%); width: 100%;\"><tbody><tr><td valign=\"top\" align=\"left\"><p>A <strong>Polisher</strong> position performs a variety of polishing practices involved in blending, deburring and belt grinding on turbomachinery components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements. This position is a 40 plus (+) hour position based in our facility in Canastota, NY.</p><table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"left\" id=\"isPasted\"><tbody><tr><td valign=\"top\" align=\"left\"><p><strong><u>RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Operate belt grinder, shot peen and glass bead cabinet to ensure proper functionality.</li><li>Perform routine polishing visual inspection and polish of parts in accordance with established quality control procedures.</li><li>Perform daily housekeeping and machine maintenance tasks to ensure safe/effective machine operation.</li><li>Prepare parts for shipment, by cleaning, packaging, and labeling.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform all other duties/tasks as assigned by Polish Lead and/or Supervisor.</li></ul><p><strong><u>JOB REQUIREMENTS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li>Operate Belt and Baldor grinder.</li><li>Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.</li><li>Utilize hand tools, pencil grinder and have basic mechanical abilities.</li><li>Auto body experience a plus.</li><li>Problem solving skills.</li><li>Strong hand-eye coordination</li><li>Must have positive attitude and ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.</li><li>Understand safe machine practice.</li><li>Must have excellent time management skills.</li><li>Operate a forklift.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION</u></strong>:</p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li>High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Ability to lift 75 lbs.,&nbsp;walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance.</li><li>This position requires repetitive motion ability.</li><li>Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage</li><li>Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.</li><li>Able to pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol test and background check.</li><li>Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.</li></ul><p><strong><u>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Special Information (Travel required, physical requirements, background checks, valid license, on-call schedules, weekend rotations, lifting to 75 lbs.)</p><ul><li>&nbsp;The position will be based full time in our Canastota, NY facility.</li><li>Able to understand, read, write, and speak English proficiently.</li><li>Legal to work in the United States and provide proper documentation.</li></ul><p><strong><u>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li>While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
