    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong><u>About the Job:</u></strong></span></p>\n<p><span>As an analyst within the Business Insights and Enablement team, you will support key analytics and business operations initiatives that drive strategic decisions and improve customer experience. This role focuses on forecasting proficiency, gathering and analyzing data, building reports and dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for someone looking to apply their academic or early professional background in analytics while developing expertise in a fast-paced, mission-driven biotech environment.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><u>Forecasting:</u></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Support the development and refinement of forecasting models by assembling data inputs and reviewing model outputs under guidance.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Contribute to documentation and updates of forecasting tools</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><span><u>Data Collection &amp; Reporting:</u></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Assist with collecting, cleaning, and organizing data used in business operations, forecasting, and customer experience tracking.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Maintain standard dashboards and reports with oversight, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><span><u>Analytical Support:</u></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Perform structured analysis using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Create visualizations and reports that summarize data and highlight trends for review by senior team members.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><span><u>Operational Improvement:</u></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Help track performance indicators (KPIs) and flag patterns or discrepancies.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Support initiatives aimed at improving internal workflows and customer experience processes.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><span><u>Collaboration with Teams:</u></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Work closely with teammates and cross-functional partners (e.g., customer service, commercial, data teams) to align on data definitions, usage, and reporting needs.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Share standard updates and findings with supervisors and project leads.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><span>D<u>ocumentation &amp; Process Optimization:</u></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Assist with documenting procedures and analytics workflows to support standardization and reproducibility.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Contribute suggestions for improving tools and processes based on learnings.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p>\n<p><span><strong><u>Basic Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency in commercial forecasting in Pharmaceutical and/or Diagnostic industries</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PowerBI).</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency with data analysis and familiarity with SQL or similar analytical tools.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, with a collaborative, solutions-focused</span></li>\n <li><span>approach.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated interest in learning and growing within analytics and operations in a fast-paced</span></li>\n <li><span>environment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data</span></li>\n <li><span>Commitment to FMI values: Integrity, Courage, and Passion</span></li>\n</ul>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400\">\n <div>\n  <div>\n   <div>\n    <div>\n     <p>The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Boston, MA is $66,400 - $83,000 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicine’s compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
