With more than 3,000 eye doctors referring their patients and trusting their own eyes to NVISION surgeons, NVISION Eye Centers is the Eye Doctors' #1 Choice®.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Surgical Tech is primarily responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, cleaning and processing instruments, and supply chain management.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a full time position shared between two ASCs in San Antonio.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspect and maintain all OR equipment in good working order (ie., microscopes, sterilizers, OR lights, sonic washer and rinser / dryer, generator, etc.) Advise Facility Manager of any necessary repairs.</li>\n <li>Inspect, clean, sterilize, and maintain all instruments in good working condition. Advise Facility Manager of any need for repairs or replacement.</li>\n <li>Maintain equipment checklist prior to each day’s cases verifying that all equipment is functioning properly.</li>\n <li>Maintain sterility logs for each day’s cases verifying sterility of all instruments and supplies.</li>\n <li>Assist Facility Manager in maintaining equipment manuals, updating as needed (to include pictures, equipment list, procedures for use and troubleshooting).</li>\n <li>Assist Facility Manager in maintaining instrument manuals updating as needed with pictures and instrument try lists.</li>\n <li>Maintain adequate stock of suture, custom packs, as well as seldom-used items such as implants, trephines, etc. Advise Facility Manager when supplies get low.</li>\n <li>Assist with unpacking and storing of supplies as needed (date and initial packing slips before giving to Facility Manager.</li>\n <li>Assist Circulating RNs to restock OR cabinets, storage after each day’s cases and report low stock levels to Facility Manager.</li>\n <li>Assist Facility Manager as requested to check all supplies once a month for outdates. Advise Facility Manager of any that are about to outdate.</li>\n <li>Maintain labels on instrument cabinets and shelves to assist all staff in returning instruments to the proper locations.</li>\n <li>Maintain OR’s, instrument room, sterilizer rooms in clean and orderly condition.</li>\n <li>Maintain the OSHA list of chemicals used in the facility and maintain the SDS manual.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Surgical Tech with one year of ASC or hospital experience </li>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li>\n</ul>\n<p>#NVisionClinic</p>\n<h2>Min</h2>\n<h2>Max</h2>",
