    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Physician Office RN or LPN performs all aspects of patient care that are within the scope of care of RN or LPN and not limited by Alabama Law or Hospital Policy. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provides nursing care to patients, under the direction of a physician, who present with a broad range of medical complaints. The job includes, but is not limited to, the following: receiving patients, performing vital signs, specimen collection, giving injections, documenting charts as necessary, communicating clinical information to patients and other essential parties, maintaining all appropriate clinical logs as defined by MMC guidelines, and assisting the other staff however necessary.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Some of the many skills performed:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>·        Performing vital signs</p>\n<p>·        Performing routine lab tests</p>\n<p>·        Administering drugs and injections</p>\n<p>·        Documenting charts</p>\n<p>·        Assists with prior authorizations and patient assistance pharmaceutical paperwork coordination</p>\n<p>·        Patient care</p>\n<p>·        Assisting Physician with procedures</p>\n<p>·        Patient call backs with appropriate documentation</p>\n<p>·        Assisting front office as needed</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>RN Education:</strong></p>\n<p>High school graduate or GED.   </p>\n<p>Graduate of School of Nursing with a minimum 2-year degree and current Alabama license.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>LPN Education:</p>\n<p>High School graduate or GED.</p>\n<p>Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse Program   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification for RN or LPN: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Previous experience in physician office setting is preferred but not required.</p>\n<p>CPR and first-aid certified.</p>\n<p>Must possess excellent verbal and written skills and be able to adapt to emergency situations quickly.  </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p>Lake Guntersville, a mountain-lakes jewel, is located approximately 30 miles from metro Huntsville – and is home to Marshall Medical Centers. </p>\n<p><strong>Marshall Medical Centers</strong>, an affiliate of the Huntsville Hospital Health System, serves the residents of Marshall County and the surrounding area (population approximately 125,000).
