This person will work closely with equipment operators, gaining hands-on experience with unique heavy machinery in various environments, learning basic maintenance, and providing consistent, high-quality upkeep of the rig and general working area. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to learn, an energetic work ethic, and be comfortable getting their hands dirty.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OVERALL GOALS FOR POSITION</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the timely and efficient completion of numerous projects of varied size and scope.</li>\n<li>Continuous development of one’s skills and working knowledge of the ConeTec’s equipment, systems and procedures.</li>\n<li>Gain experience and exposure as a contractor in one of North America’s largest industries.</li>\n<li>Expand skill set through training and certifications to become an asset of a larger team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; EXPECTATIONS</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Equipment Operation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Set up and operate various drilling equipment, sampling systems, geophysical instruments and other in-situ testing equipment following ConeTec’s procedures safely and productively.</span></li>\n<li><span>Become trained, company-certified and competent to operate numerous types of cone penetrometers and drilling equipment and other pieces of equipment within our extensive fleet.</span></li>\n<li><span>Provide timely assistance to Engineers and Technicians as required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of equipment in hard-to-access environments.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform routine maintenance on various pieces of equipment to ensure optimal performance.<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Health &amp; Safety</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Identify with and respect ConeTec’s safety culture, first and foremost.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure proper preparation and knowledge of all necessary safe operating procedures before beginning any job.</span></li>\n<li><span>Report any safety-related incidents, infractions, or near misses to the Project Manager and the HSE Officer, immediately.</span></li>\n<li><span>Know and follow the incident reporting protocol at all times.</span></li>\n<li>Communicate with the Supervisor or Project Manager as to any equipment problems or needs, as well as any field observations that might be of use.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Experience Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>High School Diploma required.<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Experience Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Experience or training relevant to drilling/sampling and/or heavy equipment operations/mechanics.</span></li>\n<li><span>Driver’s license and clean driving record.<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Technical Skill Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Electrical and mechanical skills are an asset but not required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving heavy materials up to 50 lbs., climbing, crawling as well as walking on uneven ground, working long hours in all weather conditions.<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Soft Skill Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Must possess strong work ethic and represent the company in a professional manner.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be responsible and work well independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must enjoy working outdoors and travelling for extended periods of time.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, and due to the requirement that employees be able to safely complete the tasks associated with this job position, a successful candidate may be required to take a pre-employment fit for duty test, including a drug and alcohol testing, and complete a satisfactory criminal record check.<br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>ConeTec is an equal-opportunity employer.
