Description The Hazardous Waste Technician internship program is designed for students interested in maintaining a sustainable environment. The intern will be responsible for tasks associated with warehouse duties, profiling/labeling hazardous waste, and other administrative projects. The role will assist with ensuring effective and efficient business operations on a safety conscious team. Students will have the opportunity to shadow other positions within the Company. Interns can expect to participate in networking events and complete a final presentation at the conclusion of the program. We are searching for a reliable and team-oriented individual with an excellent commitment to safety to join our growing team during the Summer of 2026! Focus on maintaining sustainability and cleaning the Earth Competitive Pay $20/ HR Positive and safe work environments Responsibilities Responsibilities Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and always acting in a safe manner Conducts projects/jobs according to site specific Federal, State, and local regulations and health and safety plans Prepare, unload, and reload waste containers from route trucks for shipment Ensure all waste and containers are in acceptable shipping containers for transport to recycle or distribution centers Assist with general warehouse duties Coordinate with Branch Manager to assist crews with administrative, clerical, and customer service projects Shadow various roles within the Organization to learn about overall business Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules Attend Networking events Complete a final project presentation Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent Must be pursuing a degree or completing a training program in an applicable discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, etc.) Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements 40-years of sustainability in action.
