    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p>Summary This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical systems of industrial establishments by performing the following duties.&nbsp;</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><p>Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.  Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.  Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.  Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.  Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.  Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.</p><p><br></p><p>Competencies:</p><p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :&nbsp;</p><p>Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information.  Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.  Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs.  Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.  Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities.  Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions.  Diversity - Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences.  Ethics - Treats people with respect; Upholds organizational values.  Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures.  Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures.  Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment.  Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.</p><p>Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
