          "text": "<p>The School of Professional Studies seeks candidates to serve as a part-time Associate for a graduate-<br>\nlevel course in <em>Analytics for Business Operations Management</em>. An Associate is a faculty line junior to a<br>\nLecturer that provides subject matter expertise and supports the instructional process for a course<br>\nsection. Serving as an Associate is an outstanding way to gain exposure to graduate-level teaching at<br>\nColumbia University.</p><p><br>\nThis course teaches students how to apply analytical techniques to optimize operational decision-<br>\nmaking, improve efficiency, and solve real-world challenges in operations management. Students will<br>\ndevelop practical skills in topics such as process analysis, forecasting, queuing theory, simulation,<br>\noptimization, inventory analysis, project management, supply chain management, and lean operations.<br>\nThe course integrates lectures and coding exercises to ensure a balance between conceptual learning<br>\nand practical application across multiple industries.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Attend all&#xa0;class sessions, assist with instruction, lead breakout sessions, facilitate discussions.</li><li>Lead class lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussion. Attend&#xa0;all class sessions.</li><li>Evaluate, grade student work and assessments as requested by the course Lecturer.</li><li>Monitor and address student concerns and inquiries.</li></ul>",
