    "requisitionDescription": "<p><strong><u>Embedded Firmware and Hardware Engineer</u></strong></p><p>Cryopak is looking for a versatile Embedded Firmware &amp; Hardware Engineer to design and develop next-generation high precision temperature and humidity monitoring and logging devices with integrated Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity for applications in logistics, transport and cold chain. This role combines firmware development with hands-on hardware design, bringing products from concept through production. You&rsquo;ll play a key role in building reliable, secure, and scalable connected systems deployed in real-world environments. The candidate. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will work closely with multiple individuals in R&amp;D, manufacturing and quality control to help deliver products on-time and meet customer expectations.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p><ol><li data-pasted=\"true\">Firmware Development<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for logger devices</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Integrate and optimize Wi-Fi, LTE, BLE, LoRa stacks for reliable connectivity</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Develop drivers and interfaces for sensors, modems, and peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, etc.)</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Optimize firmware for network connectivity, power consumption, performance, and memory constraints</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Debug and trouble-shoot system-level issues across hardware and software</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Produce flowcharts and state diagrams to fully represent firmware functionality</li></ul></li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Hardware Design<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Design schematics and assist with PCB layout for embedded devices</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Select and integrate components (MCUs, LTE/Wi-Fi modules, PMICs, sensors, antennas)</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Bring up new hardware, including board validation and debugging</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Working with manufacturing partners on DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test)</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Assess and recommend PCB vendors for volumes manufacturing, reliability and cost considerations</li></ul></li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Cross Functional Work<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Work with Quality control to address reliability and yield aspects of all products</li><li>Support product certification (FCC/CE, carrier approvals for LTE)</li><li>Develop and maintain technical documentation (schematics, firmware architecture, test plans)</li><li>Participate in code reviews and hardware design reviews</li><li>Assist in field debugging and performance monitoring of deployed devices</li></ul></li></ol><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or related field</li><li>A minimum of 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development and strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Hands on experience with micro-controllers, in hardware design, and experience with IoT communication protocols</li><li>Bilingual French and English, <strong style='box-sizing: border-box;
