    "descriptionText": "Description\n\nDirectly reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and responsible to the Maintenance Manager.  Functionally responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment and electrical components at Almag Aluminium. As a member of the Maintenance team, openly shares knowledge and information including training of team members.\n\n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \n\nThe duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Electrician are detailed below, but not limited to the following:\n\n Accountable for all Electrical, Instrumentation Controls and plant equipment maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.\n Work with minimal supervision in a safe manner maintaining a clean and orderly shop.\n Respond to break downs immediately and /or provide communication for repairs\n Openly share knowledge and train team mates on equipment functionality and history, procedures, and drawing mark ups.\n Coach Operating personnel on equipment capability, limitations and preventative measures to improve equipment reliability.\n Troubleshoot and optimize various drives and instrumentation devices such as encoders, transducers and thermocouples within a PLC control circuit.\n Size and run conduit and connect wires to various electrical equipment and plant components such as electrical disconnects, transformers, breakers and a variety of electrical controls.\n Follow and take initiative as directed in PM program including improving the program itself.\n Contribute ideas and input to support continuous improvement within our facility.\n Be willing and able to repair mechanical issues independently when needed.\n Monitor equipment performance, document and evaluate potential problems for root cause solutions and improvements.\n Must communicate effectively with all plant personnel.\n Comply with all ISO and quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.\n\n Requirements\n\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n\n Education/Experience \n\n Hold a valid 442a or 309 electricians license\n Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Licensed Electrician\n High energy level, good creativity, self confidence, time management and must be a team player\n Training or experience in troubleshooting related industrial maintenance machines\n\n Technical Skills/Competence \n\n Experience in troubleshooting and working with Allen Bradley PLC’s\n Ability to read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings\n Demonstrated comfort working with the Electrical Safety Code\n Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls and PLC’s\n Experience with welding and fabrication is considered a strong asset\n\n Benefits\n\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that goes beyond base pay, supporting your health, growth, and long term success:\n\n Profit Sharing\n Health & Dental\n Health Care Spending Account\n Education Assistance Program\n Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\n Company Events\n Floater Days\n Paid Holidays\n Shift Premiums\n Annual safety footwear reimbursement program\n\nThe expected pay range for this position is $38.96 – $43.83 per hour.
