Visit our website to learn more about Better Buzz Coffee and apply to join the team! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>BetterBuzzCoffee.com</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead and perform key aspects of the company’s financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, research and analysis, report preparation, and assisting with month-end close processes.  We seek someone with an MBA and progressive experience in private equity or investment banking.  This person will need a strong skill set in complex excel modeling skills and analytics.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The pay range is $125,000 - $150,000.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is 100% in office, in the UTC area of San Diego, CA.  There is no relocation available for anyone out of the area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PERKS OF WORKING AT BETTER BUZZ:</strong></p>\n<p>Work with an amazing team of coffee enthusiasts</p>\n<p>Work with a growing brand</p>\n<p>Free food and drink daily while working</p>\n<p>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and more & 401K with a match</p>\n<p>10 Days Paid Time Off</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate with CFO on long-term financial planning to predict current and future performance</li>\n <li>Serve as key business partner to senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations</li>\n <li>Lead financial forecasting, planning and budgeting processes, preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts</li>\n <li>Manage and deliver timely and accurate weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on key performance metrics, identifying key insights and trends while providing recommendations for improvement </li>\n <li>Analyze financial statements and report on current financial status and health</li>\n <li>Partner with development and operations on new store analytics and measurements around capital expenditures, restaurant-level profits, and returns on investment</li>\n <li>Develop financial models and projections though benchmarking and process analysis</li>\n <li>Lead analysis of marketing and pricing initiatives, including recommendations and performance tracking</li>\n <li>Analyze and review proposals for any system related to financial accounting methods</li>\n <li>Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to prepare and deliver comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to stakeholders</li>\n <li>Lead analysis of pricing initiatives, including assistance in creation of pricing and revenue optimization solutions and measurement of performance</li>\n <li>Annual G&A budget preparation, monthly analysis, and cause of change reporting</li>\n <li>Provide analytical support for the executive management team</li>\n <li>Identify areas for financial optimization and cost management </li>\n <li>Lead special projects as needed to support marketing/ops/real estate etc.</li>\n <li>Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to all audiences</li>\n <li>Manage and develop internal Analysts and provide coaching as needed</li>\n <li>Manage large data sets from disparate sources for data mining, analysis, and research</li>\n <li>Manage internal Analyst and external accounting team and provide coaching as needed</li>\n <li>Identify and remove obstacles for General Managers to run their locations according to all Better Buzz Coffee standards while maximizing efficiency and profitability</li>\n <li>Provide clear and consistent direction through performance feedback and adhere to accounting and financial systems</li>\n <li>Maintain confidentiality of financial information</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Accounting or Finance<strong> required</strong></li>\n <li>MBA and experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting firm <strong>required</strong></li>\n <li>5+ years’ experience of strong and progressive financial planning & analysis <strong>required</strong></li>\n <li>Advanced skills with Excel, Power Point and database programming</li>\n <li>Food and Beverage or Hospitality Industry Accounting Experience a plus</li>\n <li>Knowledge of and skill in corporate finance, budgeting, and performance management</li>\n <li>Exceptional analytical and data modeling skills, and experience applying these skills to improve operational performance</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact with senior executives and management, as well as business staff at all levels</li>\n <li>Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines</li>\n <li>Natural curiosity for problem solving</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About Better Buzz </strong></p>\n<p>Founded in 2002 by two college students with a dream and a coffee cart, Better Buzz has grown into a thriving community with locations across California, Nevada, and Arizona.
