Directly or indirectly, you'll have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Johns Hopkins Hospital PCCU Bloomberg 5 South (Progressive Cardiac Care Unit)</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Start: ASAP</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Shift: rotating</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Weekend:</strong> every other</p>\n<p><strong>On Call:</strong> 1 per 6 week schedule</p>\n<p><strong>Holidays</strong>: as needed buy the unit</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Facilitating and coordinates of programs that may include hospital inpatients, outpatients, families, community, and employees of both the hospital and the university by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Providing direction to/management of  other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Working collaboratively with, and providing leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that support quality, safety, and excellence in care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Participating in promoting and identifying quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Initiating and participate in the research activities relevant to specialty area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Implementing initiatives in area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>RN License, 2 years nursing experience, BLS, IMC experience; dysrhythmia management</li>\n <li>RN will need experience with high acuity patients.</li>\n <li>2 or more previous travel assignments </li>\n <li>Multiple levels of care- Adult inpatient</li>\n <li>Levels of care vary from High Acuity IMC (managing low-dose pressors, mechanical ventilation via trach, unstable rhythms requiring TVP or epicardial pacing, continuous cardiac monitoring), IMC (dose-ordered vasoactive, continuous cardiac monitoring), Vent experience, tracheostomies, Aline, some Titrating gtts (Nitroglycerin, Insulin and Heparin) and experience/understanding of provider managed pressors and inotropes.</li>\n <li>1:3 ratio for IMC around the clock</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
