Join a team of experienced teachers to both support children with disabilities in integrated preschool classrooms and infant/toddler daycare classrooms as a substitute teacher aide. Our focus is to foster a strength based environment where every child can thrive by learning and growing through play. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Rate of pay: $17.25 per hour </strong>(This position is as needed)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Start your rewarding career—apply today!</strong> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide a warm, safe, and caring environment for children that will promote learning and a positive self-image, reflecting Racker’s values as defined in the Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct </li>\n <li>Carry out plans and programs for children as assigned by the teacher, including possible one-to-one assignment with a specific child </li>\n <li>Personal care including toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting and positioning </li>\n <li>Share information with classroom and management team </li>\n <li>Effective communication as a member of the team, including participation in appropriate meetings </li>\n <li>Promote open communication and mutual understanding </li>\n <li>Attend training required by program regulations and as directed by supervisor </li>\n <li>Contribute to a positive work and learning environment for children in program as well as co-workers – must be professional, courteous and confidential </li>\n <li>Provide ideas and show initiative to help develop the educational setting </li>\n <li>Uphold standards of professionalism with regard to behavior and dress </li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned </li>\n <li>Bring your creativity, energy, and love of children!</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Experience, & Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years old by date of hire.</li>\n <li>Effective written, verbal and communication skills.<strong> </strong> </li>\n <li>Related experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Capability</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to physically assist children to participate in the program; ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds; ability to engage in repetitive movements such as sitting/kneeling on floor, bending and stooping; ability to move quickly to attend to a running child.</li>\n</ul>Our approach to Diversity and Inclusion -\n<strong>\"A world where all people know they belong.\"</strong>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>",
