Description

About Harbinger Harbinger is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company on a mission to transform an industry starving for innovation. Harbinger’s best-in-class team of EV, battery, and drivetrain experts have pooled their deep experience to bring a first-of-its-kind EV platform to support the growing demand for medium-duty EVs and Hybrids. Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation. Role Overview As the Senior Product Integration Engineer at Harbinger, you will drive the physical and functional integration of the entire vehicle. Operating within our dynamic startup environment, you will ensure that diverse subsystems—from powertrain to interior trim—fit, function, and are fully manufacturable. You will take complete ownership of the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and actively manage the master CAD assembly. Key Responsibilities Master Assembly Management: Lead the integration of all vehicle subsystems within CATIA V6, ensuring spatial compliance, clearance requirements, and interface integrity. PLM Architecture: Manage the product structure, lifecycle states, and engineering changes within ENOVIA. Ensure all engineering data is accurate, accessible, and strictly maintained. Clash & Clearance Analysis: Perform rigorous DMU reviews to identify packaging conflicts early in the development cycle. Work directly with Lead Engineers to resolve physical interferences. Interface Control: Define and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between hardware modules (e.g., establishing critical mounting strategies between the battery pack and chassis). Mass & Weight Management: Track, analyze, and report on vehicle mass properties, center of gravity, and weight distribution. Cross-Functional Engineering: Act as the technical liaison among Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the virtual design translates successfully to physical production. Variant Strategy & Control: Define and manage the 150% Master Product Structure within ENOVIA. Ensure that all vehicle variants (options, regional requirements, and trim levels) are logically organized and selectable. Effectivity Management: Implement and oversee "Evolution" and "Variant" effectivity. Ensure the correct parts are associated with specific VIN configurations and production schedules. Option Code Logic: Collaborate with Product Management to translate marketing and sales requirements into technical Option Codes and configuration rules within the PLM environment. Configured DMU Validation: Validate the CAD assemblies for every possible build combination. Ensure that selecting distinct options does not create physical interference with standard components. BOM Transformation: Manage the relationship between the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) and the Sales/Manufacturing configurations to maintain seamless data flow across departments. Required Technical Skills CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE: Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling, with critical experience in Large Assembly Management. ENOVIA PLM: Deep understanding of ENOVIA architecture, including BOM management, part numbering schemes, and release workflows. Automotive Packaging: Proven experience in vehicle architecture, occupant packaging, and legal/regulatory clearance requirements (e.g., vision zones, tire envelopes). GD&T Proficiency: Strong grasp of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to validate component fitment during physical assembly. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience: 3–6+ years in automotive product integration, packaging, or systems engineering. Software: Verifiable professional experience using CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE in a complex, collaborative environment. Key Benefits & Perks: Comprehensive Health, Dental & Vision (HDV) – 100% employee covered Early-stage Stock Options Robust Retirement Savings (401k, HSA, FSA) Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) & Parental Leave Annual Vacation Bonus Wellness & Fertility Benefits Cell Phone Stipend Complimentary Meals & Stocked Kitchens California Pay Range $140,000 — $160,000 USD Equal Opportunity Harbinger is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
