Description

Perform complex accounting activities and financial analysis to keep company financially organized, per the company’s policies and practices. Ensures the integrity of accounting information by researching variances and establishes adequate controls over financial transactions and financial reporting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, and general accounting. • Owns the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close, including development of processes and procedures to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy in financial reporting, as well as preparing journal entries and account reconciliations and financial statement preparation as part of the close process. • Performs monthly margin and expense analysis and prepares other financial and operational metrics. Also, reviews the monthly results with executive and plant management. • Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and clears reconciling items in a timely manner. • Ensures appropriate controls and compliance processes are followed, and reviews, recommends and initiates process control enhancements. • Makes recommendations for process improvements and automation opportunities. • Assists in the development of standard costs and the annual standard cost-roll process. • Assists in the annual budgeting process and preparation of the reporting package for the Board of Directors. • Assists in the timely preparation of schedules and other information required by external auditors. • Contributes to any ad hoc reporting, special projects and performs additional duties as assigned by management. • Prepares quarterly and annual governmental surveys and filings. • Performs other duties as assigned.
