The hotel offers exciting programming including 50-minute fitness classes, Kona Craft Beer, and an in-room amenity upon arrival, all complimentary to the guest.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Area Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and timely completion of all assigned Capital Improvement projects within the specified schedules and budgets.  This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Engineering Project Manager will also be responsible for communicating project progress to stakeholders and leadership.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.</li>\n <li>Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Manage project development from beginning to end.</li>\n <li>Partner and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.</li>\n <li>Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.</li>\n <li>Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, including progress, risks, and issues.</li>\n <li>Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and documentation.</li>\n <li>Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.</li>\n <li>Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.</li>\n <li>Ensure all projects adhere to company quality standards and regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.</li>\n <li>Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.</li>\n <li>Evaluate and recommend strategies to enhance project management efficiency.</li>\n <li>Draft Purchase Orders and approve for pay out.</li>\n <li>Maintain comprehensive project files.</li>\n <li>Maintain daily logs of work performed.</li>\n <li>Oversees shipping and receiving of goods to and from Capital Improvements Warehouse and job site.</li>\n <li>Maintain inventory logs of Capital Improvements Warehouse.</li>\n <li>Manages all Receiving and Damage Reports with purchasing agent.</li>\n <li>Coordinate all Receiving and Damage Reports with purchasing agent.</li>\n <li>Price and order tools and materials for Capital Improvement Department.</li>\n <li>Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. </li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.</li>\n <li>Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.</li>\n <li>Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.</li>\n <li>Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.</li>\n <li>Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.</li>\n <li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags.</li>\n <li>Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.</li>\n <li>Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.</li>\n <li>Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.</li>\n <li>Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.</li>\n <li>Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Physical Requirements</u>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Long hours sometimes required.</li>\n <li>Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 1 year of progressive experience in a supervisory/management position or project management in a hospitality setting or equivalent education/working experience. </li>\n <li>Must be able to read and comprehend project specifications, consultant reports from the various disciplines related to engineering.</li>\n</ul>",
