Environmental, Health, & Safety Intern 2026

As an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern at StandardAero’s Houston facility, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the EHS operations of our Business Aviation MRO. Over the course of this 6-month internship, you’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives, and spend time on the maintenance floor to understand how safety principles are applied in a real-world aviation environment.
What You’ll Do:
Help develop, revise, and improve EHS&S programs, procedures, and compliance documentation Support chemical inventory tracking and assist with waste management and wastewater initiatives Assist in building and updating training materials for various EHS programs Conduct safety inspections and contribute to identifying process improvements Provide administrative and project-based support to the EHS team Collaborate with technicians and managers across the facility on EHS-related initiatives Spend time on the maintenance floor observing processes and supporting EHS engagement Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related field Must possess a basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general EHS regulatory concepts Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Self-motivated with strong initiative and curiosity for learning in a fast-paced technical environment Ability to collaborate effectively across teams including maintenance, training, quality, and operations Analytical mindset with interest in identifying process improvements Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting Flexibility to support multiple projects and changing priorities
