    "descriptionText": "Description\n\nThe warehouse Picker/Selector is responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders in a fast paced warehouse environment. This role plays an important part in supporting daily operations by ensuring orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The Picker/Selector will locate products throughout the warehouse, use RF scanners or pick tickets, and help maintain organization, productivity, and safety standards to support overall customer satisfaction and shipping deadlines.\n\n Job Duties and Responsibilities \n\n Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and unload materials from delivery trucks.\n Keep track of inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and update records to ensure accurate stock levels.\n Fulfill orders by picking and packing items according to customer requirements or organizational standards.\n Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring items are properly labeled and easily accessible.\n Accurate Application of Value Added Services: Apply barcodes, polybags, stickers, hangers, and other value added services to units accurately and in adherence to the specific packing guidelines outlined by clients.\n Inspect products for defects or damages and report any issues to supervisors.\n Prepare outgoing shipments, ensure proper documentation, and load materials onto delivery vehicles.\n Use pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.\n Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.\n Keep the warehouse clean and organized and report any maintenance issues.\n Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and quality.\n Quickly address and resolve issues that may arise in day to day warehouse operations.\n Flexibility to support the team with additional tasks and adapt to shifting priorities as required by the business.\n\n Requirements\n\n Prior warehouse experience is desired\n A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred\n Prior knowledge of warehouse data system (WMS) is desired \n Should be comfortable with the use of scanners and computers.\n Team player with organizational skills\n Ability to follow verbal and written instructions\n Fast paced with attention to detail\n Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate\n Aligned with Bergen’s How We Work Together Principles, including investing in People Development, creating a Safe Environment, treating others with Respect, being able to work as part of a Team, having Trust in others, having Passion for our work and clients, having good Communication skills and having high Accountability for oneself and others.\n\n Physical Requirements \n\n Work regularly to lift and/or move objects 10 30 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.\n Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time including stair climbing frequent bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling are required to retrieve and stock products at various heights.\n May be required to climb ladders or stairs to access products stored on higher shelves.\n Capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as packing, sorting, or labeling, with efficiency and attention to detail. \n Must be able to tolerate fluctuations in facility temperatures\n Must be able to tolerate an occasional high noise volume environment that includes speakers, fans, moving racks and conveyor belts.\n\n\\ We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
