    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Nemours is seeking a Respiratory Research Specialist to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE.</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The Respiratory Research Specialist provides leadership, assistance, support and education in the development, implementation, evaluation, enhancement, and maintenance of a comprehensive pediatric respiratory research program which would enhance the outcomes of the pediatric and respiratory departments and establish Nemours as a leader in the research field.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Develops pediatric research goals in collaboration with members of the Departments of Respiratory Care, Pediatrics and Research, clinical staff, physicians, members of other health care disciplines, and patients/families.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Design and Conduct Research Studies</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and implement clinical, translational, or scientific research protocols in collaboration with respiratory therapy, pediatrics, and research departments.</p>\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Data Collection and Analysis</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collect, organize, and analyze clinical data using appropriate statistical methods to support evidence-based practice and inform future research.</p>\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Manuscript and Abstract Preparation</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, and posters for submission to peer-reviewed journals and &nbsp; presentation at national and international conferences.</p>\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Grant Development and Funding Acquisition</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identify funding opportunities and both lead and assist in writing and submitting grant proposals to support respiratory and pediatric research projects both as PI and as Co-I.</p>\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Protocol Compliance and IRB Coordination</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure all research activities comply with institutional, federal, and ethical guidelines, including coordination with the Institutional Review Board (IRB).</p>\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Education and Mentorship</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provide education and mentorship to clinical staff on research methodology, evidence-based practice, and integration of research into clinical care.</p>\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Innovation and Procedure Development</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and refine experimental procedures and protocols to advance respiratory therapy techniques and patient outcomes.</p>\n<p>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Interdisciplinary Collaboration</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, other allied health professionals, and families to align research goals with clinical needs and improve patient care.</p>\n<p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Presentation and Dissemination</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Present research findings to internal stakeholders and external audiences to promote Nemours’ leadership in pediatric respiratory research.</p>\n<p>10.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain Research Equipment and Supplies</p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain and calibrate research-related equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in experimental procedures.</p>\n<p>11.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Attend and participate appropriately in department research meetings and activities.</p>\n<p>12.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Adhere to attendance policies as outlined by Nemours.</p>\n<p>13.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
