You will lead initiatives and projects around deploying, maintaining and improving infrastructure, partnering with your peers across our business units and sites as well as mentoring junior engineers.<br><br><strong>MAIN DUTIES:</strong><br>The Senior Systems Engineer will architect, deploy, and maintain Linux and Windows desktop<br>and server infrastructure, as well as MacOS Desktop environments. They will collaborate with IT, support, and engineering teams to align infrastructure with business needs. They will document systems and workflows, ensuring they are kept up to date. They will contribute to process improvement and workflows across teams. They will participate in company wide IT projects and initiatives. They will assist with datacenter operations including racking, cabling, and hardware lifecycle. Other duties include:<ul><li>Mentoring other team members.</li><li>Administer and maintain supporting infrastructure:</li><li>Linux Servers (Rocky).</li><li>Windows Desktops and Servers (Windows 10, Windows 11).</li><li>Proxmox Infrastructure and related.</li><li>Core and edge networking switches, VPN technology.</li><li>DNS and DHCP.</li><li>License servers (e.g., RLM, FlexLM).</li><li>Any other technology supporting the business and end-users.</li><li>Work on site 3 days a week.</li><li>Provide escalation support to on-call staff when required.</li></ul><br><b>WHAT YOU BRING:</b><br>The ideal candidate will bring previous experience in Computer Science, Information<br>Technology, or equivalent experience. They will bring hands-on experience with Linux and<br>Windows server, framed within the VFX industry and VFX workflows. They will bring a deep<br>expertise in systems engineering. They will bring proven experience managing infrastructure<br>and services at a site and business that operates within as a global company, between many<br>sites.
