Join our team to enjoy comprehensive benefits, including travel privileges on the American Airlines global network, so you can explore new destinations and create unforgettable memories with family and friends.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h1><strong>Position Summary</strong></h1>\n<p>As a Simulator Instructor, you will have a direct impact on PSA Airlines’ growth by working with the Check Airman Supervisor and Flight Training Administration, ensuring that early-stage training for pilots is scheduled, progressing well, and records retained properly. You will also help the Director of Training and Manager of Simulator Training and Standards ensure departmental goals and policies and procedures are up to date. You will not be line qualified or on the PSA Pilot Seniority list in this position.</p>\n<h2><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide early-stage Flight Instruction in a Full Flight Simulator as well as occasional ground instruction</li>\n <li>Instruct Initial, Upgrading and Transitioning PSA Pilots.</li>\n <li>Adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures.</li>\n <li>Completion of Student Training Records</li>\n <li>Developmental duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Specifics</h2>\n<h1><strong>Qualifications </strong></h1>\n<p>Required</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Eligible for CL-65 PIC Type Rating.</li>\n <li>Holds Airline Transport Pilot License.</li>\n <li>Good communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to speak/read/write in English.</li>\n <li>If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous 121 check airmen.</li>\n <li>121 instructor experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Additional Information</strong></h2>\n<p><strong>Delegation: </strong>In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of SIM Training and Standards.</p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong> None.</p>\n<p><strong>Authorities:</strong> None. </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.<strong>Physical Demands:</strong> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
