This role is critical to ensuring the property is clean, well-maintained, and operating efficiently behind the scenes—so that every guest experience runs smoothly.</p><p><br></p><p>You’ll partner closely with the General Manager and other department leaders to drive operational excellence, maintain high standards, and support a strong, accountable team culture.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><h3><br></h3><h3>Housekeeping Operations</h3><ul><li>Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and brand standards</li><li>Manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity for the housekeeping team</li><li>Conduct inspections and ensure quality control across all areas of the property</li><li>Support training, coaching, and development of housekeeping staff</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of housekeeping supplies</li></ul><h3>Engineering &amp; Maintenance</h3><ul><li>Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the property is safe, functional, and well-maintained</li><li>Ensure timely response and resolution of maintenance requests and work orders</li><li>Monitor vendor relationships and coordinate third-party services as needed</li><li>Support capital projects, repairs, and ongoing property improvements</li></ul><h3>Operational Leadership</h3><ul><li>Lead, coach, and support team members to drive accountability and performance</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Monitor and manage departmental budgets, including labor and operating expenses</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance</li><li>Serve as Manager-on-Duty as needed, supporting overall hotel operations</li></ul><h3>Cross-Functional Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Partner with Front Office and other departments to ensure alignment on room readiness, maintenance issues, and guest needs</li><li>Communicate effectively across teams to ensure smooth daily operations</li><li>Support overall property goals and guest experience initiatives</li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>4–7+ years of experience in hotel operations, housekeeping, or engineering/maintenance</li><li>Prior leadership experience managing teams (Housekeeping and/or Engineering preferred)</li><li>Experience with scheduling, labor management, and operational planning</li><li>Familiarity with hotel systems and maintenance tracking tools</li><li>Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and property standards</li><li>A hands-on, operational leader who thrives behind the scenes</li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail</li><li>A proactive problem-solver who can manage both people and processes</li><li>Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment</li><li>A strong communicator who can work across departments effectively</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.</li><li>Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul><p><strong>About Gravity Haus</strong></p><p>Gravity Haus is a community-driven adventure lifestyle brand with hotels, restaurants, and experiences that empower a modern way of travel.
