Description Adjunct Professor of Communication Charleston Southern University Summary Charleston Southern University’s Department of Communication is accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor position to start in the Fall Semester of 2026. We're seeking candidates who are professing Christians, dedicated to high-quality teaching, and committed to integrating faith with learning. Preferred applicants will possess both the knowledge and passion to teach essential communication courses, including Public Speaking, Media, Public Relations, and Communication Studies. Work Performed The Adjunct Instructor will teach undergraduate Communication courses in-person and/or online depending on departmental needs. Primary teaching responsibilities may include courses in public speaking, media and public relations. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course need and availability. Qualifications Qualifications •    Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field is required. •    Teaching experience in higher education is preferred. •    Candidates should demonstrate commitment to student engagement and academic excellence.
