    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>As an <strong>R&amp;D Supervisor here at Solstice Advanced Materials</strong>, you will be accountable for supervising and leading a team of 20+ hourly research technicians. You will apply your expertise and knowledge to implement and maintain operations of chemical process development projects at the bench and pilot scale in a fast-paced 24-hour operations environment.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>In this role, you will report directly to our Senior R&amp;D Manager of the Pilot Plant at our Buffalo, NY location. This role is an afternoon shift schedule (3PM-11PM) with the need to be on call during off-hours. (Hours can be flexible and occasionally may need to overlap with 1st shift.)</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assign and coordinate schedules for hourly staff</li>\n <li>Conform with Solstice and government HS&amp;E standards to maintain a safe working environment&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Work with procurement group to maintain supplies</li>\n <li>Interact with union leadership to facilitate a good working relationship between union and management</li>\n <li>Identify cost reduction, 5S standard compliance and productivity improvement</li>\n <li>Oversee payroll, overtime, and scheduling</li>\n <li>Responsible for purchasing and maintaining inventory</li>\n <li>Lead improvement teams</li>\n <li>Oversee cost improvement and productivity analysis</li>\n <li>Manage building operations</li>\n <li>Assist with life critical/safety permit and procedures</li>\n</ul>",
