As a Financial Analyst on our Employee Benefits consulting team, you’ll be the<br>person who turns claims reports, renewal models, and carrier proposals into clear, actionable<br>guidance for your teammates and for clients.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Claims &amp; Experience Analysis</span><br>You’ll keep a close eye on how our clients’ plans are performing — monitoring monthly claims<br>across medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision, tracking utilization trends, and flagging cost<br>drivers before they become surprises. You’ll turn that data into clear reports and dashboards for<br>both internal teams and clients.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Modeling &amp; Forecasting</span><br>You’ll build and maintain underwriting and financial models to project renewal costs, explore<br>plan design alternatives, and support multi-year cost planning. The goal isn’t just accurate<br>outputs; it’s making sure those outputs are presented in a way that actually helps clients make<br>decisions.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Market Analysis &amp; Carrier Quoting</span><br>You’ll prepare RFPs and underwriting submissions, analyze carrier and stop-loss proposals, and<br>build the side-by-side comparisons that guide client choices.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Plan Strategy &amp; Risk Review</span><br>You’ll contribute data-driven thinking to client strategy conversations by modeling plan design<br>changes, contribution strategies, and employee cost-sharing scenarios. You’ll help prepare<br>renewal scenarios that walk clients through the range of outcomes so they can make confident,<br>informed decisions.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reporting Innovation &amp; Cross-Team Collaboration</span><br>You’ll be part of something exciting: partnering with our internal Data &amp; Engineering Team as<br>they build software to automate our monthly and quarterly claims reporting. You’ll validate<br>outputs, flag anomalies, and provide the real-world feedback that shapes the final product.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team Collaboration &amp; Development</span></p>\n<p>You’ll work closely with Financial Consultants and Account Managers, contributing to the<br>accuracy and quality of client deliverables. You’ll participate in team knowledge sharing, look for<br>ways to improve processes, and grow into an even more valuable contributor over time.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About You</span></p>\n<p>People who thrive in this position:<br>• Are genuinely interested in employee benefits — you find this industry meaningful and<br>want to keep learning.<br>• Love working with data and get just as excited about communicating what it means.<br>• Can translate complex financial concepts into language that resonates with non-<br>financial audiences.<br>• Hold your own work to a high standard; accuracy matters to you.<br>• Enjoy collaborating and are a reliable, engaged teammate.<br>• Thrive with multiple projects in motion and know how to prioritize.<br>• Are curious, growth-oriented, and always looking for ways to add value.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education, Training, and Experience</span><br>• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related<br>field.<br>• Four to six years of experience in employee benefits financial analysis, consulting, or a<br>closely related role.<br>• Prior experience at an employee benefits brokerage or consulting firm is required.<br>• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and communicate results to non-technical<br>audiences.<br>• Solid knowledge of group insurance products: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.<br>• Working knowledge of benefits financial concepts: stop-loss, self-funding, claims<br>analysis, and plan design modeling.<br>• Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering accurate work on<br>deadline.<br>• Familiarity with compliance requirements for employer-sponsored health plans: PPACA,<br>COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc.<br>• Exceptional Excel skills and comfort with the broader Microsoft Office suite.
