Sila is creating its first centralized procurement function to unlock national scale while preserving local installation excellence.</li><li><b>Position Overview</b></li><li><b>Title:</b> Director of Category Management – Direct Spend </li><li><b>Location:</b> King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office) </li><li><b>Reports To:</b> Vice President of Procurement</li><li><b>Department:</b> Finance &nbsp;</li><li><b>Travel:</b> Up to 10% (OpCo site visits, OEM plants, distributor QBRs)</li><div><br></div><li>This foundational hire will design and lead Sila’s Direct Spend Sourcing &amp; Category Management team. This position will own a growing portfolio of $150M+ in annual direct spend tied to HVAC equipment, plumbing materials, electrical components, refrigerants, and installation supplies.&nbsp; This position will support the build of a centralized procurement team, systems and supplier partnerships that drive cost leadership and field productivity across 40+ decentralized operating companies.</li><li><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></li><li><b>&nbsp;</b>Build and lead a high-performing category management organization across the Direct Categories</li><li>Lead the development and execution of a Category Management strategy aligned to corporate cost savings goals and operational requirements for all current and future OpCo’s.</li><li>Partner with business unit leaders and functional executives to understand demand, align sourcing strategies, and maximize total value.</li><li>Develop and  execute category plans that drive value, reduce risk, and improve supplier performance.</li><li>Lead major RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection in collaboration with business stakeholders and legal.</li><li>Drive adoption of preferred supplier programs and catalog management to control maverick spend and ensure policy compliance.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive market and spend analysis to identify cost-saving      opportunities and leverage scale.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance, including cost, service, quality, and compliance, and develop supplier improvement initiatives.</li><li>Develop inventory strategies to minimize holding costs while ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production and customer needs </li><li>Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Finance to optimize payment terms, rebates, and working capital impact.</li><li>Leverage procurement technology (e.g., Coupa) to enhance visibility, automate workflows, and enable data-driven decisions.</li><li>Track and report on sourcing savings, pipeline, and category performance to executive leadership.</li><li>Continuously evaluate and improve category management and sourcing tools, scorecards, and metrics.</li><li>Additional ad-hoc responsibilities will be needed as the program grows and matures, list above is not exhaustive.</li><li><b>Qualifications (Required)</b></li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, or Business</li><li>8+ years Category Management experience</li><li>Proven track record leading category strategies and sourcing across multiple spend categories.</li><li>Hands-on experience selecting and implementing S2P systems (Coupa, Ariba, etc.)</li><li><b>Preferred</b></li><li>Masters in Business Administration</li><li>CPSM or CPIM certification</li><li>Prior role at a multi-location service organization, or consulting firm with direct procurement focus.</li><div><br></div>"
