Key responsibilities include&nbsp;spending time on the production floor, performing quality checks on finished products and raw materials, overseeing manufacturing processes and controls, striving for continuous improvement, and supporting ISO quality systems and compliance.</p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Oversee all quality-related functions in the plant.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in the development of specifications for processing, products, and materials.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform all required quality tests for raw materials, work in progress, and finished products.</li><li>Ensure that quality checks are performed at the required frequency and targets. Additionally, periodically evaluate target levels and amend as appropriate.</li><li>Regularly audit products and processes to ensure standard work is executed on the floor and in the lab.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that any non-conforming product is properly identified for a decision on disposition by Management.</li><li>Track, report, and reduce manufacturing waste.</li><li>Work directly with purchasing personnel on vendor quality or supply issues; assist with vendor selection and qualification.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead ISO Quality systems.</li><li>Research customer complaints, including but not limited to engaging in root cause investigation, suggesting corrective action, implementing actions, and providing follow-up while following the SAP quality process and maintaining metrics.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage all lab functions and staff, while assuring the safety and integrity of those operations and employees.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain all testing equipment and ensure that it is in proper working order.</li><li>Organize and maintain related files, logs, and reports.</li><li>Develop quality standards/test/inspection plan for raw materials and finished products (specification, sample size, and frequency) as well as a robust training process.</li><li>Develop lean and sustainable saving plans and facilitate small K generation and implementation.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead all product compliance activities to ensure certification.&nbsp;</li><li>Embodies the company's core values of transparency, trust, and respect by demonstrating integrity, commitment, responsible entrepreneurship, and moral courage.&nbsp;</li><li>Applies the company’s policies and adheres to processes to ensure compliance and organizational best practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of responsibility, such as hiring and promotion decisions.&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively and efficiently onboards new employees.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts annual performance evaluations and provides ongoing performance feedback, maintaining clear and timely documentation.&nbsp;</li><li>Coaches and manages employees using the company’s philosophy and tools to ensure talent is developed and retained.
