    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">Overview</span></span></p>\n<p><span>The Assistant Golf Professional at Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club is responsible and accountable for the</span> <span>daily operations of the golf shop staff, guest service staff, and coordinates with the Head Golf Professional to provide an exceptional golf experience in line with our Thompson Golf Group way.</span><br><span>This includes the development and management of golf team members, maximizing the tee sheet, merchandising, building golf programs, and increasing rounds sold.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Experience Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Positive and proactive supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills. Ability to support company decisions and to always communicate with team members from the company's perspective.</li>\n<li>Possesses good communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>\n<li>General knowledge of ordering/purchasing and inventory control.</li>\n<li>Ability to multitask while remaining focused on the key objectives of the position.</li>\n<li>Proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, Internet, and tee sheet systems.</li>\n<li>Must be comfortable and willing to “roll up sleeves” and lead by positive example.</li>\n<li>Must be willing to grow and be challenged.</li>\n<li>Possess the ability to work within established guidelines and standards, ensuring brand consistency for Thompson Golf Group</li>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>Class A-8 PGA Membership preferred.</li>\n<li>Ability to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Essential Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentor the development of staff in all areas. Educate, train, and develop team members in all golf operations.</li>\n<li>Ensure an excellent guest experience by being responsive, following up in a timely manner, and following through on commitments.</li>\n<li>Comfortable with technology and tee sheet systems.</li>\n<li>Manage and oversee internal events for members.</li>\n<li>Assist the sales team in coordinating external golf events, ensuring seamless, professional execution on the day of the tournament and delivering an exceptional experience for all participants.</li>\n<li>Ensure the golf cart fleet is well-maintained and cleaned daily according to the cleaning standard.</li>\n<li>Manage and maintain inventory and merchandise in the Golf Shop.</li>\n<li>Work with HR to recruit, hire, and train Guest Service team members. Follow the prescribed orientation process to set each team member up for success.</li>\n<li>Ensure a proper safe work environment to include compliance with OSHA and Thompson Golf guidelines and standard operating procedures.</li>\n<li>Understand and value individual growth and development, as well as formulating strategies for growth, and development of team members.</li>\n<li>Lead by example by taking a proactive position on all issues concerning the golf shop and guest services.</li>\n<li>Hold all team members accountable for their areas of responsibility through clearly articulated expectations.</li>\n<li>Maintain open lines of communication between the golf shop staff and golf maintenance staff.</li>\n<li>Supervise and manage facility tee sheets to maximize play and make recommendations for additional revenue generation.</li>\n<li>Maintaining open and honest communication with team members, leadership and customers.</li>\n<li>Being professional in every interaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">Benefits</span></p>\n<p>Thompson Golf Group owns and manages 7 courses throughout Arizona, Minnesota &amp; Texas.
