Kelvion &ndash; Together, We Shape the Future</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to cut to length, punch marking or punch hole on metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to set up and operate CNC, machine program or machine control monitoring screen to perform various machine functions such as cutting and punching.</li><li>Determine and select machine procedures, tooling requirements, and control settings.</li><li>Mount, align, and secure tooling attachments; assemble cutting or punching tools in tool holders and position tool holders.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, material planning sheets, sketches, or related technical data to calculate and create cutting and punching programs following blueprints with minimal material usage.</li><li>Occasionally able to load control media such as tape, card, or disk, in machine controller or enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to start machine, monitor displays, as well as machine operation to detect malfunctions; observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools or punching.&nbsp;</li><li>Adjust machine feed and speed and change cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to identify correct material use as per Bill of Material (BOM).</li><li>Must be able to measure work piece for conformance to blueprint specifications or industrial standard specifications.</li><li>Stop machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications; enter commands or manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions; operate machine manually to perform no automated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.&nbsp;</li><li>Notify supervisor of discrepancies. Discuss control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Clean machine, tooling, and parts; perform some basic machine repair and maintenance.&nbsp;</li><li>Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on&ndash;site, ability to work overtime.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, ability to interchange with others in the department to get the assignment done on time.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to directly supervise up to 10 to 20 non-exempt employees. &nbsp;</li><li>Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Kelvion Inc., Thermal Solutions&rsquo; policies, procedures and applicable laws</li><li>Must demonstrate and exhibit professional qualities when speaking with employees, whether in a one-on-one scenario or a group setting.</li><li>Responsibilities, as assigned by the Department Manager, will include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li></ul><p><strong><u>COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of numbers and fraction, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and be able to convert fractions into decimal equivalents or vise-versa.
