This position plays a key leadership role in coordinating crews, reading plans, setting forms, pouring, and finishing structural elements such as walls, footings, foundations, and elevated slabs.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Individuals with <span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">carpentry experience</span></span>—especially those who have worked with formwork, layout, or framing—are <span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">highly encouraged to apply</span></span>, as those skills transfer strongly into this position.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Be Doing</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and supervise structural concrete crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work.</li>\n<li>Coordinate daily activities including form setting, reinforcing steel placement, pours, and finishing operations.</li>\n<li>Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.</li>\n<li>Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are ready for each phase of work.</li>\n<li>Communicate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to maintain alignment on schedule and scope.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate documentation such as timesheets, delivery tickets, and daily logs.</li>\n<li>Train and mentor crew members to develop skillsets and maintain production standards.</li>\n<li>Monitor safety practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with concrete suppliers, pump operators, and finishing crews for pour scheduling.</li>\n<li>Identify potential field challenges early and provide input on constructability or sequencing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of structural or commercial concrete experience (field leadership experience preferred).</li>\n<li>Proficient in reading blueprints, understanding grades, and layout.</li>\n<li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.</li>\n<li>Experience working with formwork systems, rebar, and structural concrete pours.</li>\n<li>Carpentry or framing background strongly preferred.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.</li>\n<li>Must be able to manage crews and participate hands-on when needed.</li>\n<li>Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Work With Us</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical, Vision, Dental Insurance</li>\n<li>Long Term Disability / Short Term Disability</li>\n<li>Employer-Paid Life Insurance Policy</li>\n<li>PTO Accrual &amp; Holiday Pay</li>\n<li>401k with Company Match</li>\n<li>ESOP Participation after one year of employment (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)</li>\n<li>Weather Time Off </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Merritt Contracting is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals.
