The work shift will be scheduled between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm. Teachers plan and implement daily activities that assist the children with mastery of age-appropriate developmental milestones. A teacher must have great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach effectively include knowledge of best practices and developmental milestones, as well as the ability to engage children and earn their love and trust.\\n\\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\\n\\nPlanning and Program:\\n\\n\\n\\t\\n\\t&nbsp;Plan group and individual activities with other team members.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\t&nbsp;Share in leadership and planning for classroom activities.\\n\\t\\n\\n\\nTeaching:\\n\\n\\n\\t\\n\\tAssist in the integration of new children.&nbsp;\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tParticipate, in turn, in procuring equipment, resources, craft materials, snack items, and books.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tSupervise children in their assigned classroom and bathroom/diapering areas.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tWork with co-teachers to ensure the smooth running of the classroom schedule.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tTake responsibility for the classroom cleanup, including toys and flat surfaces\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tPrepare materials in advance of the expected time of use.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tAttend all meetings scheduled by the Director, including, but not limited to, individual group and Center-wide meetings and on-site professional development sessions.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tAttend family involvement events.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tAttend 20 hours of professional development training per year.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tSpend one hour per week with the other teaching team members, planning and scheduling weekly activities, and preparing a monthly curriculum plan to be submitted to the Director by the last Monday of each month&nbsp;\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tPlan outdoor activities and supervise outdoor play.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tEnsure the safety and well-being of all the children in care by being aware of the following:&nbsp;\\n\\n\\t\\n\\t\\t\\n\\t\\tEmergency evacuation and fire drill procedures\\n\\t\\t\\n\\t\\t\\n\\t\\tfirst-aid responsibilities\\n\\t\\t\\n\\t\\t\\n\\t\\tLocation of emergency and permission forms\\n\\t\\t\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tReport on all medical needs, health problems, changes in schedule, phone number changes, etc., to the Director.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tShall follow all teaching and supervision procedures as outlined by the Director.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tWrite and maintain developmental reports for each child.
