    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>Dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical products using standard chemical and physical procedures to fill written prescriptions issued by physicians and other qualified prescribers.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Responsibility</strong></p><p>1.Reviews and verifies prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, interactions, and clinical appropriateness.<br>2.Provides counseling and drug-related information for prescriptions and over-the-counter items to patients, as needed.<br>3.Communicates effectively with provider offices, pharmacies, and insurers to fulfill prescription orders.<br>4.Dispenses medications in accordance with established rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures.<br>5.Coordinates with couriers to monitor and track delivery of prescriptions in a timely manner.<br>6.Complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations associated with dispensing medications and agents with Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) program requirements.<br>7.Maintains current knowledge of, and complies with, standards of specialty accrediting bodies (e.g., URAC, ACHC), and annual specialty competencies related to specialty disease state management.<br>8.Maintains accurate records compliant to rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures.<br>9.Manages inventory and supplies for pharmacy, as needed; receives and checks inventory and supplies for accuracy.<br>10.Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.</p><p><strong>Job Qualification</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, required.</li><li>Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in New York State required,</li><li>Specialized certifications, as needed.</li><li>1-3 years of relevant experience, required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>This offer is contingent upon proof of license prior to offer. The position will require travel to all VIVO sites and will provide flexible shift options, each lasting 8 hours, within the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM.
