Thank you for your interest in joining our curious, passionate, hardworking team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Corgan is actively recruiting a knowledgeable Interior Design Project Manager to focus on specialty furniture and furniture selection and specification projects in our New York City office on our Workplace Interiors Market Sector.  This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated designer looking to showcase their creative talents across challenging and unique project opportunities. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop competitive fee structures reflecting defined scope of services for project pursuits</li>\n <li>Establish and manage project schedules</li>\n <li>Oversee the completion of projects on time and within fee budget</li>\n <li>Anticipate, understand and manage client expectations</li>\n <li>Provide leadership to staff by identifying project studio team members’ roles and responsibilities, leveraging their strengths, providing stretch opportunities, and offering mentorship</li>\n <li>Lead and encourage open dialogue with project team regarding design and technical ideation and facilitate appropriate solutions</li>\n <li>Motivate the project team to meet project goals through encouragement and/or course correction</li>\n <li>Oversee the selection of furnishings and associate materials.</li>\n <li>Oversee administration of construction phase procedures related to furniture and documentation (shop drawings/submittals, requests for information, and addenda/clarifications)</li>\n <li>Oversee development and presentation of appropriate technical solutions to project stakeholders</li>\n <li>Drive the coordination of internal staff, external consultants and other stakeholders to achieve a cohesive and collaborative project team.</li>\n <li>Attend and conduct presentations</li>\n <li>Actively explore and recognize new business opportunities through professional networks</li>\n <li>Drive each project team to seek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity, continuous improvement, and increased project performance</li>\n <li>Develop effective project directives, outlines, projections, schedules, and strategies over the course of the project</li>\n <li>Oversee development and communication of appropriate project phasing</li>\n <li>Manage all facets of project production resulting in a thorough set of documents</li>\n <li>Identify solutions and effectively resolve technical challenges </li>\n <li>Understand and apply appropriate industry standards and construction practices</li>\n <li>Oversees, and is responsible for, the identification, understanding and documentation of regulatory agencies’ requirements, as well as recognizing and resolving code-related design issues</li>\n <li>Oversee quality assurance processes and quality control of project documents</li>\n <li>Demonstrate, share, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>This is an in-office position</li>\n <li>Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent</li>\n <li>10+ years of experience in commercial furniture and interior design in the NYC market; Workplace experience strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Expertise with FF&E coordination, procurement and installation</li>\n <li>Professional Interior Design registration</li>\n <li>Display strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills and detailing</li>\n <li><p>Skills with the following programs: Revit, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Inscape, Mural, Designer Pages Pro</p></li>\n <li>Demonstrated skills in developing furniture package, including workstation and private office development, and coordinating with design teams and other consultants</li>\n <li>High commitment to QA/QC</li>\n <li>Revit proficiency and technical excellence</li>\n <li>Thorough understanding of how a construction package and furniture package goes together</li>\n <li>Acumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budget</li>\n <li>Knows how to research and document codes for specific projects</li>\n <li>Experience managing a variety of consultants and contractors</li>\n <li>Interest in sustainable design</li>\n <li>Effective organizational and communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail</li>\n <li>Flexible attitude</li>\n <li>Proficiency or experience with managing overall project fees and schedules</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to successfully manage client and team relationships including overall work plan development and sub-consultant coordination efforts</li>\n <li>Successful record of pursuing new projects through business development, marketing, and client satisfaction</li>\n <li>Confident presentation ability</li>\n <li>Potential travel opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This position is designated as <strong>full-time on-site</strong> and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location <strong>Monday through Friday during standard business hours</strong>.
