Description
About QBE, LLC
QBE, LLC is a mission-focused technology and security solutions provider supporting defense and federal customers worldwide. We deliver high-impact capabilities where precision, accountability, and technical excellence directly support national-level objectives.
QBE is seeking a Chief Engineer in support of the U.S. Navy’s PEO IWS-X initiative, to provide technical leadership for the design, integration, and testing of complex systems, including KVM-based virtualization, system security prototypes, and the F127 Combat System Compute Infrastructure (CI).
This role manages the full systems engineering lifecycle team, defines system architecture, resolves technical issues, and mentors junior staff. Responsibilities also include integrating System Design with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Anti-Tamper (AT) requirements and best practices. The successful candidate can apply strong Foreign Military Sales (FMS) expertise to adapt U.S. system designs for international applications, identifying opportunities to leverage existing solutions while aligning with partner nation requirements. Interpreted and refined often ambiguous international requirements, translating them into clear engineering direction that balanced cost, capability, and compliance within program constraints. Enabled efficient delivery of high-value, exportable solutions while minimizing rework and maintaining adherence to defined requirements.
Responsibilities :
Lead system and network architecture development and manage the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements through deployment. Oversee requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing activities for KVM virtualization and F127 CI. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and compliance with program requirements. Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure solutions meet performance and compliance standards. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team. Ensure compliance with USG export control laws and regulations, MIL Standards and DoD Instructions. #qg
