    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Join our Team at ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Plan, direct, define and coordinate individualized and group therapeutic support and services to patients with behavioral problems, psychiatric disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use and physical and emotional abuse.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct psychosocial assessment of patient and develop an effective treatment plan that applies therapeutic principles appropriately while ensuring patient safety at all times.</li>\n <li>Through patient observation and patient/family interview obtaining information on the patient’s needs, skills, interests and limitations for the development and implementation of the treatment plan.</li>\n <li>Provide crisis intervention and assist families in understanding the implications and complexities of a life situation and its impact on lifestyle. </li>\n <li>Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meeting to discuss psychosocial assessment, treatment planning and ongoing discharge planning.</li>\n <li>Identify, assess and coordinate patient cases and anticipate their needs related to illness, hospitalization, finances, education and home/community services.</li>\n <li>Facilitate education, process groups, support groups and referrals as requested.</li>\n <li>May conduct intakes and assist in coordinating placements within facility programs.</li>\n <li>Promote recovery, symptom reduction and the achievement of the highest level of social functioning.</li>\n <li>Communicate or aid family members in understanding and supporting the patient.</li>\n <li>Manage a caseload and assume responsibility for patient chart documentation.</li>\n <li>May facilitate education, process groups, support groups and referrals as requested.</li>\n <li>Manage a caseload and maintain accurate and timely documentation to assure patient records comply with facility and accreditation standards.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.  When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.  Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university or a new graduate of accredited master's degree social work program with successful completion of social work field education, internship or similar practicum through master's degree program required.</li>\n <li>Two or more years’ experience working with patient population preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>State licensure, as required by the state in which the facility operates; which could include: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW)</li>\n <li>CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</li>\n <li>First aid may be required based on state or facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              </p>\n<p><strong><em>While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances (e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictate.</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>",
