Don't miss out on being a part of something special!</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>General Description</strong></u></p><p>Under general supervision, the Transportation Specialist works in close coordination with associated program case managers, other program staff and program partners to support non-medical services to Program clients. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma informed care environment.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></u></p><ul><li>Transport clients to necessary appointments.</li><li>Provides client assistance with grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, banking, friendly visiting, light chores, and essential errands.</li><li>Keeps clients updated of available community resources.</li><li>Provide information to clients and their service providers.</li><li>Completes and maintains accurate activity records such as but not limited to the following:    <ul>      <li>Accurate mileage and time sheet records</li>      <li>Reports problems, incidents to supervisor in a timely manner</li>      <li>Up-to-date client service schedule and accurate records trips and contacts</li>    </ul></li><li>Facilitates vehicle up-keep and repair to include, but not limited to, inspections and oil changes.</li><li>Must adhere to agency financial policies/procedures (i.e. use of credit card).</li><li>Completes semi-annual reports on client progress and status.</li><li>Participates in program fundraising activities.</li><li>Communicates with the office for messages once per day.</li><li>Assist program management staff in completion of required clerical and/or administrative work as needed.</li><li>Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings</li><li>Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.</li><li>Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan.
