Mon/Tues and TH each week</li>\n <li><strong>Call Schedule:</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Practice Detail: </strong>Working in Occupational Medicine to cover all workman's comp, injury prevention, and all aspects of occupational health</li>\n <li><strong>EMR System: </strong>Systoc</li>\n <li><strong>Facility: </strong>Honda Lincoln Plant</li>\n <li><strong>Location: </strong>Honda plant in Lincoln, Alabama</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>UAB St. Vincent's is looking for an  Occupational Medicine trained Physician for Part time coverage at our Honda plant.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with UAB St. Vincent's to provide medical services to patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Part time work with part time benefits</li>\n <li>Opportunity to oversee APPs in Georgia Honda plant location</li>\n <li>Small community with wide range of specialty resources within hospital network</li>\n <li>Opportunity to work at our Occupational Health Clinic in Birmingham if mutually agreed on</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Occupational Injury care with main focus on difficult injuries and workcomp claims. </li>\n <li>Fitness for Duty evaluations</li>\n <li>Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. </li>\n <li>WorkComp claims management and oversight, not limited to causality statements, MMI/PPD, Collaboration with specialists</li>\n <li>Internal collaboration with Safety, ERGO etc. at the spot</li>\n <li>Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.</li>\n <li>Fill in regular clinic duties on occasion with APP PTO, Sickness and Vacancies.</li>\n <li>Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.</li>\n <li>Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.</li>\n <li>Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification/Registration:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Graduate Doctoral Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li>\n <li>Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Preferences</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working in Occupational medicine preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About UAB St. Vincent’s</h2>\n<p>UAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
