As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to create your own schedule and design unique programs that engage and inspire adults in our community. From arts and crafts to cooking, fitness, technology, wellness, or lifelong learning, the possibilities are endless.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Teaching a class at the Tinley Park-Park District has many benefits:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Y</span>our classes are featured in our Program Brochure (mailed to all residents 3x per year), our website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and school district “virtual backpacks.”</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We </span>handle all program registrations, provide you with up-to-date rosters, attendance sheets, and waitlists.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Flexible registration for participants</span> who can register online, in-person, and by mail.</li>\n<li>Affiliation with a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">long-standing, respected organization</span> with a rich history and positive reputation in the Tinley Park community.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and lead engaging programs designed for adult participants.</li>\n<li>Provide clear instruction, guidance, and encouragement in your area of expertise.</li>\n<li>Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive class environment.</li>\n<li>Adapt instruction to meet different skill levels and learning styles.</li>\n<li>Ensure the safe and proper use of facilities, equipment, and materials.</li>\n<li>Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to create a high-quality participant experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Details:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a contract position (you will receive a 1099 form)</li>\n<li>Contractual Instructors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ABOUT US</span>:  The Tinley Park-Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 55,000 residents with a wide variety of recreation facilities, programs, events, parks, and open spaces.  The Park District maintains over 40 parks, 33 ball fields, and several facilities which include the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, White Water Canyon Water Park, Canine Campus Dog Park, Tinley Junction Miniature Golf &amp; Batting Cages, Vogt Visual Arts Center, and the Tinley Park Performing Arts Center.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
