    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Serenity Knolls, located in the San Geronimo Valley just 10 minutes west of Fairfax, is currently seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Master of Mariage and Family Therapy (MMFT), to join our dedicated team of therapists. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our facility has a capacity of 42 beds and serves individuals aged 18 and older, including 6 beds designated for detox. As a 12-step based, social model residential treatment center, Serenity Knolls combines traditional social models of care with contemporary cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and evidence-based practices. We invite qualified candidates to apply today. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective or behavioral.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Compensation for roles at Serenity Knolls varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Serenity Knolls provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Rate of pay: $32-$40 per hour</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Job Type: Full-time Mon - Fri</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong>:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k)</li>\n <li>401(k) matching</li>\n <li>Dental insurance</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Employee discount</li>\n <li>Flexible schedule</li>\n <li>Flexible spending account</li>\n <li>Health insurance</li>\n <li>Health savings account</li>\n <li>Life insurance</li>\n <li>Paid time off</li>\n <li>Professional development assistance</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement</li>\n <li>Vision insurance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to Commute:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Forest Knolls, CA 94933 (Preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Ability to Relocate:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Forest Knolls, CA 94933: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Work Location: In person</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and behavioral health disorders.</li>\n <li>Conduct psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.</li>\n <li>Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.</li>\n <li>Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed and revise as necessary.</li>\n <li>Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient, according to facility and professional standards and revise as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintain a caseload as assigned.</li>\n <li>Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan.</li>\n <li>May provide these services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.</li>\n <li>Provide case management, discharge planning or after-care planning according to treatment plan.</li>\n <li>May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.</li>\n <li>May coordinate various clinical and psychosocial or educational activities with patient and their families.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.  When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.
