If you are mechanically inclined, motivated to learn, and eager to take on new challenges, this program provides a pathway to grow with an industry leader.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Our apprentices work directly alongside experienced mentor mechanics and service technicians across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida—gaining hands-on training and real-world knowledge from professionals who practice the trade every day.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Program</span></p>\n<p>Our program combines a<span> curriculum of</span><span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">hands-on, on-the-job training</span><span> with a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">web-based Learning Management System (LMS), </span></span>and study materials to provide a comprehensive pathway to success. You'll work one on one with licensed elevator mechanics and technicians, gaining the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to become a certified professional in the field.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions</span></p>\n<p>As an<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Elevator Apprentice</span>, you will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist a licensed elevator mechanic in<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">installation, modernization, service, or maintenance</span><span> </span>of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways.</li>\n<li>Learn to<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">assemble, install, repair, and maintain</span><span> </span>electric and hydraulic freight or passenger elevators and related equipment.</li>\n<li>Maintain and submit<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">weekly on-the-job training sheets</span>, signed and approved by your supervising mechanic.</li>\n<li>Stay actively engaged in related instruction, following the program's schedule and guidelines.</li>\n<li>Adhere to all<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">safety guidelines, policies, and procedures</span><span> </span>as directed by your supervisor and Delaware Elevator professionals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Age Requirement</span>: Must be at least 18 years old.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span>: High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills</span>: Mechanically inclined, with experience using basic and power tools.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements</span>: Fit-for-duty, comfortable with heights, and able to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel</span>: Ability to travel out of town as needed, with some overnight stays. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.</li>\n<li>Must successfully pass<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">drug screenings, background checks</span>, and skill assessments.
